Thread: Convergance: A bold new direction

For those having trouble with the widgets working - it seems if you have "no undocked icon labels" enabled in Winterboard the widgets (weather and infostats) will not display - if you disable that tweak in Winterboard - the widgets work great (make sure you download both infostats and weather widget from Cydia) -

So I guess this is a "defect" or enhancement request that Convergence widgets should work in line with the "no undocked icon labels" enabled in Winterboard.

  2. #442
    That is a winterboard issue.

That may be true - but if I disable Convergence and enable "no undocked icon labels" in Winterboard the widgets work....it is only when Convergence is introduced that things go wrong -

It breaks many things, that's why it's a WB issue. You can look at it anyway that you would like, but its still a WB issue!

Edit: maybe this is an individual theme issue. I just disabled 3 4 All and enabled space blueberry and now all of the widgets work. How bizzare. Maybe it has something to do with space blueberry being an icon only theme.

3 4 All has an Info.plist handling that calendar icon date to be displayed in that sexy way.

You can always delete that little file until WinterBoard received an update regarding that HTML issue when an Info.plist theme is activated...
The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

Oh ok, so it's only because of the plist? I was wondering what the differences between the two were. That's really good to know, thanks.

Just before going to bed, thought I'd let you all know I've got touch functions working well for HTML lockscreens in the past half hour. I'm gonna focus on getting the settings done for these lockscreens, so we should see this new feature working 100% by the next beta!

Hi, just installed Convergence on my iPhone 5S. Was wondering if there's a reason my fingerprint scanner isn't working? Was it not integrated?

It's a known issue - I'll be trying to fix it whenever I can

    Cool Background in Convergance Widgets
Any idea how to change the background white coloring in Convergance weather and calendar widgets. it is pretty bright when looking at it first thing in the AM. Thanks for the help.

  23. #455
Will it eventually be possible to disable parts of Convergance that you don't want to use, and to instead revert to stock and other tweaks for those parts? For instance, I absolutely love the way notifications are handled with this (the clean look and added layer of privacy is fantastic), and the HTML lock screen seems like it can offer a lot of customizations, but I would prefer to be able to use Intelliscreen X once it's released for my widgets, or to use Jellylock when it's released in order to quickly launch the app I want to use, or to be able to use Pluck 2.

If this will be a feature, I'll definitely buy a license.

Should be able to go into the CSS file and change it, that is where I change the colouring of the wording

Springtomize 3 is now live in Cydia and it handles all icon label suppression. Keep all Winterboard elements containing info.plists off - or rename the info.plist to info1.plist to prevent problems with widgets running. King is right -- this is Winterboard issue - not a problem with the other tweaks like Convergence or GroovyLock or iWidgets.

How long are we reckoning this is from public release?

  28. #459
I wish you would release it on Cydia already lol.

    Hey all

Been a bit of a busy weekend - had a lot of other work to catch up - so sorry about running over the ETA for next beta and not getting back to emails. Got a fair amount done for this next one though: new theme available in settings, fixes to notifications disappearing, fully working HTML backgrounds with touch, few other fixes, and localisation support. Should see it go live either tomorrow or Tuesday, as I'll be sending a deb to translators to double check all's good

Oh, and I've moved all my website etc over to a new server at http://incendo.ws - the old address will be redirected here, so shouldn't need to change the repo address in Cydia or whatever, as it should redirect with no problems!

Erm, I'd say 3 weeks give or take a few days
