The issue is on Callbar's end unfortunately! I've sent a tweet to limneos about this, but I'm assuming he may not see it so I'll email him tomorrow.

The next update to CallBar *should* get it sorted now - I've not been able to test this mind you.

This is strange, i finally got Convergance to work by just leaving it alone for about 20 minutes after installing. I have about 15 setups backed up in SetBack and if i restore one of them i then have the same problems again because Covergance behave as if i just installed it .

I have to start setting up all my themes over again in WinterBoard making sure that i use Convergance from the theme which i got it to work and delete the backups i have in SetBack and do them all over again .

Seems there's a link to what's happening with SetBack . I think when i restored all my setups were still in SetBack and i just restore each one with the icon formation and then updated them .

    Hi all,

Aplogies for not being around (again) - uni work had gotten the better of me.

I'm almost ready to get a new beta up on my repo, so hopefully I can get that finished off today ready for testing tonight.

It's not working just yet I'm afraid; I coded it to not run on untested versions of iOS. So far I've got very basic compatibility according to a tester, as I'm waiting on the jailbreak to become stable before running it.

Default Convergance: A bold new direction
Hmm.. Let me say this in as "non-Newd1.0" a way as I can. Lol.. The jailbreak itself for 8 is actually as stable as any new jailbreak we've ever had in the first few days when not all the tweaks are updated. That is, for people who don't use your passcode lock since having it on causes a boot loop when you reboot your phone, WHICH, CAN BE fixed. The only unique challenge to this particular jailbreak is the way you have to install it to get Cydia on your phone. If you don't mind taking a few extra steps to get the JB & Cydia on your phone, once they ARE on your phone it's perfectly stable to run. Since I never use a passcode lock I never get the boot loop upon rebooting my phone that others are complaining about. But there's also a fix for that listed in a thread unique to that particular issue by Thazsar.

So in short… This jailbreak works just as well as the first ones for iOS 6 and 7 did… Keeping in mind there are only a few tweaks working. But a lot of tweaks are working already like WinterBoard, SBHTML, GroovyLock & iWidgets. WidgetWeather works to create the myLocation.txt file but not the XML file. So all your slightly older myLocation widgets will work.

I just don't want people to be overly afraid of this jailbreak just because there's a couple of extra steps to get it up and running.

Most of these issues have been sorted between Pangu and Saurik. I would expect an updated JB tool soon. Also there will be a Cydia update that will correct everything that the JB tool update fixes.

    Progress update:

So far, Convergance is still broken on iOS 8, but it runs on the iPhone 6 and 6+ now. There's still a fair amount left to do so I can't give an ETA right now, but I'm hoping it shouldn't be too long now before it's ready for 8.
