For starters, there is no email hub on WP7, nor is there a hub for the phone. There are email applications, but no hubs. The only hubs on WP7 that I can remember off the of my head are: People, Games, Pictures, and maybe Office. The games one could be a tile on the main part of OS7 that redirects to another screen like some Dreamboard themes do. Inside this section it could be horizontally scrolled similar to WP7 without the need of an application because Dreamboard allows for this. Inside that seperate plane/page/section of the theme is where game tiles could be added (although I don't know how that would be done exactly, but in WP7 you can't reorder them). This same thing could be done for the office hub in which you have the Pages, Numbers, and whatever the PowerPoint one is called ready to be clicked on (presented in a similar fashion to WP7). Taking that same concept, you could apply it to the People's hub. Granted, I highly doubt it would be possible to achieve the same level of integration that the People's hub in WP7 presents without a seperate application, you can still create a similar look (presented the same way, but you have to click on apps to launch them).

Your description is fairly off from what "hubs" essentially are in WP7. Hubs are supposed to be separate sections to launch additional applications (Games and Office Hubs)/handle multiple functions (Music and People Hubs). A Games hub I feel would definitely be do able with this theme, as well as an office hub, but that is something End would have to do and I'm sure it's a lot more difficult then it sounds. I just wanted to point out that what your describing is not really necessary and not quite inline with what was asked.

I personally feel the same way Zinjen does, but that's okay. I really appreciate your work with the overlays and I'm very glad that people are enjoying them. Themes are for people to modify and customize to there liking, but I don't see the overlays as something that fits the bill for a WP7 replication (that doesn't mean I discredit your work in anyway, shape, or form). It seems the past several pages have been filled with multiple overlays for this theme, that although very cool looking, not practical in my minds eye (<-- PURELY MY OPINION, NO OFFENSE SHOULD BE TAKEN).

Please understand that what I said was not meant to offend anyone's work. Like I said, the work you have done Bcscustom is great and I know it took a long time to complete. Same goes to everyone creating overlays, obviously people are enjoying them!

Just because an app in WP7 scrolls horizontally doesn't make it a hub. The horizontal scrolling is the different approach Microsoft is taking to access information instead of simply vertical scrolling. You are absolutely correct though when saying that for an app to function that way it needs to be recreated.
You make a good point and I completely respect your opinion on the matter I too always kept my theme as close to wp7 as possible and for everyone else out there understand that these overlays that I made are in no way anything like the wp7 itself but in fact another way to customize this theme the way you want I think bcscustom did a great job pretty much what I'm saying is there's plenty you can do with this theme enjoy it the way you want

Well Erik, I agree with your post except for one thing. I disagree about you opinion about the BcsOverlay.dylib not being useful. While I'm glad people are enjoying one aspect of the overlays ability (image overlaying) , that is not all that the dylib is capable of. People have yet to explore other aspects, like rss feeds, Facebook news feed with pictures, weather, clocks, calendars, etc. All of which are not true to the WP7interface, but are still useful. Let everybody have some fun with some of their new found modding abilities.

If I really wanted a true WP7 experience, then really the only way to get that would be to go out and buy one. Even then, after staring at the same tiles on that, I would wish I had the ability to customize my real WP7 like I could here with this theme. I just can't believe that those who own a real stock WP7 are so satisfied that they have no desire to want to mod or add enhancements to it.

Also remember that this is not a true Dreamboard theme, so programming it like in Dreamboard to achieve your "hubs" effects doesn't really work the way your describing it with a dylib based theme.

If you read my post correctly you would have seen I was referring throughout to Apps having to be rewritten. Zinjen referred to Muzik which is a app with a hub like feel and I mentioned apps like Majha and Pics being similar. I could totally see a phone, Facebook, or mail app with that "hub" like feel and that's what I was referring to.

I only wish I knew something about HTML I would love to see some of those features you mentioned implemented I guess I'll wait for someone to do as for me I'll stick with the overlays

A lot of those features have been implemented with tiles already., so the coding has already been done for you You just need to copy the tiles folder contents into your BcsCustom folder and change the name of the main HTML to Widget.html. A little positioning and resizing and your there . If you don't want that info to float, then just place a black square image like I did for the weather descriptions example, and position your info over that for a bar or dock effect

I understand completely That's where experimentation comes to play

If you totally screw something up modding your code you can always reload the tile back to your BcsCustom folder and try it again. It's time consuming, fun and fustrating at the same time But the satisfaction of finally getting it right is priceless

Is there any way to use folders? CategoriesSB does not work with ios 5 and categories without this addon sucks. The icons are all marked with a question mark.

I never said that your .dylib wasn't useful. The only thing I said was that it didn't fit the bill for WP7 and even though it does provide useful widgets such as the ones you listed, I still don't feel it fits the WP7 bill. Please understand that I'm not trying to discredit your work. You are great at coding and the .dylib does provide useful customization options, but in my opinion, it isn't like WP7 (which is totally fine!). I even said in my post that customization is the point of all themes so you don't need to get on the defensive (I'm only stating my opinion on the feel of WP7).

The thing is that with WP7 you can change the tile color and the theme color (light/dark). That doesn't sound like much, but when I had a WP7 it was actually very refreshing. I could change my tiles to match something I was wearing in a better way and changing it from light to dark was also neat because it affected a lot of applications as well. WP7 whole design "style" (metro) is based around minimalism and simplicity. I didn't need to worry about changing one icon, or changing my wallpaper, or making sure my weather widget worked. I could change enough that it was new, yet I was able to do so in seconds. By keeping it like that I felt it was a very refreshing change of pace and one that I personally like. Putting overlays on top of those icons with clouds moving across said tiles (let me preface this: IMO) doesn't capture the WP7 minimalistic style and clutters the theme. This is not to say that my tastes are the same as everyone's, I am not saying that at all. Everyone has different tastes and that is why I love themes, it allows you to make a theme your own. So please, understand that I enjoy your mods and I feel I speak for everyone when I say that many here do. Just because I may not find a use for it doesn't mean what you created was bad (I am but one of many).

Please don't tell me its not possible. I believe it very well is. Like I said, I don't know the amount of work it would take, but to say its not possible is jumping to a conclusion I just don't see. You may be right, but I feel that what I suggested is possible. I will wait and see what End says/does in the future and be ready to stand corrected if need be

For everyone that has been asking, here are all my overlays and widget. Place Widget.html in User/Library/BcsCustom
Find the overlay you want, and name it overlay.png (lower case) and place it in User/Library/BcsCustom
    Respring and enjoy!

Let's just leave it at this, I'm not offended by your opinion and I respect what you have to say. I'm glad that we can make this theme look just the way we want. WP7, custom, or a blend of both. That's the magic of this theme and the reason I still release my personal custom mods on the thread for people to use or not.

Haha sounds good. Maybe when the rewrite comes out I will start contributing again. I want to work on a UI (create entirely new images that satisfy the style of WP7) as well as new tiles that are representative of their WP7 counterparts, but I simply don't have the time as of now. I think I may have/planned on redoing my Xbox Live.psd, but I still have yet to open Photoshop in the past month or so I'm not even using this theme anymore sadly. I just couldn't stand the hit I took with it running. I was getting like 220mb free and that just makes me sad when I launch a game and see it lag I've been using winterboard now with the Legacy theme and I'm getting an average 280mb free! If I FreeMem in SBSettings I can get up to 350mb! I had some preconceived notions that Winterboard actually sucked more RAM, but I have been pleasantly surprised as of late. Hopefully with version 3.0 I can start out fresh and still be running with enough free RAM for me to constantly use it

I for one am appreciative of the mods! This theme would get old without being able to customize it. BCSCustoms overlay is a welcome addition and although I have submitted numerous overlays, I haven't even begun to get into what it's actually capable of.
    Again, thank you for sharing.

Here are some of my wallpapers and tiles to use with BCSCustom dylib.

For the wallpapers, place in var/mobile/Library/OS7/Images/Wallpapers
Be sure to name the wallpaper accordingly, i.e; wallpaper1
For the tiles, place in var/mobile/Library/OS7/Images/Backgrounds
Name your tile accordingly, i.e; background1

I recommend you SSH to your OS7 Images folder and name your original tiles, "background1(1).png"
In doing so, you can revert back to your originals with a simple, rename and respring.

Also included is a psd for making your own colors.

    Backgrounds and Tiles.zip

consider urself lucky that u even have the option of having 200mb of free ram D: us iPod touch users can't even get above 110 (except bcs... he's magic like that x)) and as of late, I can barely scrape by with 96
