But the stand-alone doesn't know if it wants to be a Lockscreen or Springboard theme
    Two options:
1 you want it on the springboard:

    Open Wallpaper.html and change
    <div><img id="Background" src="/User/Library/SpringBoard/LockBackground.jpg" /></div>
    to
    <div><img id="Background" src="/User/Library/SpringBoard/HomeBackground.jpg" /></div>
    respring

2 you want it on the Lockscreen

    Rename Wallpaper.html to LockBackground.html
    Open Functions.js
    Set var enableWallpaper = false;
    Set var enableLockScreen = true;
Now, the var enableWallpaper is in there twice, set them both to false, or better cut one of the completely out.

Well apparently it's cloudy everywhere in the us, because no matter what zip code I use I always have clouds on my screen.

The code needs tweaking or you'll see fog everyday around the clock but I've got things working on my updated Bliss Weather theme which can be found here if anyone is interested: http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-4-ne...eather-hd.html

So now I've got the correct weather conditions rolling across my screen. I love it! Thanks so much. I will be pointing ppl over here but again the code needs some serious tweaking.

Apparently he did cuz I'm using my theme and his/yours Alien on top and both set to 15 min update intervals and they both update perfectly so I'm getting my walls to show the proper weather and then your animation flowing on top of it whether it be floating clouds or rain. I will post for you the rain screenshot in a min...

I will be sending ppl here for your theme that is "not" included in my theme (so don't worry)

    Rain:

However the file needs editing. I had to edit because I had fog 24/7 but you guys did great work!

Thanks wim, works like charm on the Lockscreen as well :-)

btw: I have not edited the widget at all just replaced the weather code and it works well with the widget of Timeless. I had fog and fair ...but that WAS the weather here in Germany ;-)
So now at rainy night, it also changes the animation...I'm running all widgets underneath the Timeless theme.

Okay...I now have the Standalone version working with G.O.C. HD after the above code change. The only thing now is that the Glass Orb Dock does not show but the regular dock does.

I still have not seen an answer to the purpose of three folders and what the differences are. Could the developer Please, Please explain why there are three folders and what purpose each serves. This would help me determine how to help others in the G.O.C. threads.

    Thank You

PS...so far have only seen clouds and fog so can not wait till the fixes are implemented above for us to use!

Please i need a little bit help

I can't fix the Problem with "Dusk Law" and "Willems nice Widget".
Now i test it with the "horlogedigitale" and "Widget Meteo2"

    But the same Effect

If i put Dusk Law in Winterboard to the Top it runs BUT the horlogedigitale Clock is not to see. When i switch the Place in Winterboard, horlogedigitale to Top and Dusk Law under it, i can't see the Animation...it is wired but one Time i see the iPhone Wallpaper, after the Switching i see my Wallpaper.

Wim's Hint to change the wallpaper.html doesn't fix my Problem.
I'm not a good css, js, or html Modder and need your help please...

...and sorry for my bad english.

    Default snow already?
I have gotten this to work, but the weather still seems off a bit, I have been getting snow on my springboard and here in CT its 74 degrees. I have tried yahoo and apple weather, Im using appleAccuweatherStolen now with my zipcode. I think we need more explanation of how to use these with winterboard, and I think this could use some tweaking and an update. Maybe to get it to animate every so often instead of every minute. I would love to see the wipers plug-in, and does anyone know how I might be able to make a better snow image?

Let us know how you have yours set up @Doreen.

    Thanks

So there's been some confusion as to which version of the Dusk LAW widget to use.

    Here's how it works:

There are two ways to get an html widget to display on the homescreen. The first is to name it Wallpaper.html, to have it display behind all other widgets, and the other is to name it Widget.html, which will display on top of Wallpaper.html and other Widget.html themes below it. Up until 4.0, Widget.html themes could display by themselves without a Wallpaper.html, but on 4.x you need a Wallpaper.html and a Widget.html for the Widget.html to show.

If your current theme has a Wallpaper.html, then use Dusk LAW (Add-on).
If your theme does NOT, then use Dusk LAW (Stand-Alone).

    Placement in winterboard would be:

    Dusk LAW (Part2)
Dusk LAW (Addon) OR Dusk LAW(Stand Alone)
    Your Theme

If you are using a widget that uses Wallpaper.html then use the Add-on version.

Also, if your update interval on your weather widget is different than the one on Dusk LAW (25min) then the weather might not match. Feel free to change the update interval in functions.js (higher update interval = less battery drain)

And if you are using a different source for the weather and it displays the wrong condition, then it is a problem with the weather source. I do not control what the sources say

You need to edit the "functions.js" file. for the various weather conditions to align w/ whatever weather source you are running this with. I basically babysat weather conditions for my theme to be sure I edited my weather image conditions so I would not see a sun at night when I made my theme.

Also "make sure" you have your themes set to update at the "same" time intervals so that if the weather theme you are using updates every 30 mins you don't want the animation to update at 15 mins or you will see strange stuff such as rain falling on your screen while the icon image shows sun. hehe

Also again thanks to wyndwarrior and Alien the weather themes are work but very fun and challenging!

how do get this to work with the htc clock?

  20. #138
I already did both of those. Had everything on he same accuweather, even used the exact same file for LAW stand alone and LAW 2nd part and my HTC Clock, LAW was still off. I sometimes get snow, and there is no snow here yet. I hopw Wynd updates his original post. maybe a readme.txt included??

thanks for your help Doreen! The problem I and from many comments that people are having with this widget, Floppys, Wimm or any of them is the fact that it stays fair so much. Along with the "Fair there are clouds" Yesterday people in Los Angelos had 100+ weather with no clouds yet thier widget was showing "FAIR" with the light rolling of clouds with the animation. IT will work correctly when it is actually cloudy, raining etc all of the widgets show this correctly including the animated one. Our problem is they want to show "fair" it seems for most conditions when there is just sun and or hot with no clouds in sight. Im puzzled because in your screenshot above your weather shows this problem perfectly "Fair with Clouds" and I would bet that at that time there were no clouds or it would change to "partly cloudy" as all seem to do. Is this "Fair with clouds" when its "hot and no clouds lol" something that can be fixed? If you have the right weather conditions showing on yours then it seems to be a "fair" chance that it will still have the same problem that alot of us are having....any suggestions or help with that? I just get tired of alot of my weather being "fair" At this moment it shows partly cloudy and the animation is correct with clouds rolling past. I just want a "fair" day with sun and no clouds when thats what it looks like if I look out...thanks again I do plan on getting your widget also as IM kinda a weather mod addict

THANK YOU!!! This was the answer I was looking for and makes complete since! I still do not know what the purpose of Part 2 but everything is working perfectly with G.O.C. HD and I have posted the setup/results in our thread.

Great work and I look forward to the fine tuning of the images. Have to agree also with the poster above. Fair should be zero clouds or maybe a wisp here or there. Still love it and thank all that are involved!
