    Update:

9-01-09: iPod Touch Beta 1.0b released. Link found in the bottom of this post.

    Your cries were heard...

    Coming soon...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the major issues I had with my previous theme style iNitsua, was being confined to the dimension and style of the icon set. They worked well for the theme and continued to do so throughout its evolution - but it limited me to colors and icon placements. This continued to prevalent to me as I worked on iNitsua Homescreen and iNitsua (RED). It was even worse when it came to theming categories.

So a fresh start was what came to mind. The competition is getting pretty tough in the landscape realm of iPhone theming. iNitsua was a great start for me (and a surprisingly so). I learned a lot making that theme and now was to maximize all the qualities that made that theme great and not be constrained by that icon set and lack of color scheme.

I started off this theme with coming up with ways to make K.A.T.S. (K.Nitsua's Automatic Theme Set-Up) effective and yet allow users to manipulate some pages for themselves. As you can see from the screenshots, the first 3 pages of the theme is set in stone, as far as what icons are placed there and where. This way, KATS will be immediately effective and allow users to use the theme right out of the box, so to speak.

The remaining pages, which have yet to be finished, will be up to the user to customize. I intend to continue using the iNitsua style of navigation with "FAVORITE" pages that uses springjumps to show more applications rather than using categories (an idea which has quickly caught on). I also wanted to use color... LOTS of color. I'm sick of the grayscale of iNitsua... and even of the linear coloring of Homescreen and (RED). reeco hit gold with iCONCEPT in regards to its use of color, and I want to do something similar.

Beta is released (Link at the bottom of this post).

The current build features the following:
    • iNitsua "Favorites" Concept
    • iNitsua "Homescreen" Concept
    • Slide-down Lockscreen slider (Thanks to pear-phone)
    • Time/Date widget on each page
    • Categories page and individual icons
    • KATS installation
    • Easy icon templates
    • Customizable "Homescreen" wallpapers
    • All icons have visual feedback

INSTALLATION CHANGE (for KATS): Wait until after the springback restoration BEFORE you hide all the games and apps.

DISCLAIMER: I will not be troubleshooting this release. Simply report any bugs back, I will take them into consideration. I will TRY and address them if I can. Ultimately, I want to hear all bugs and I will fix them in the next release.

Before you ask ANY questions, please read the installation guide ENTIRELY. I try to really address everything in there.

PSDs will be released in the next release. Please be conservative on the icon requests, like 5 requests per person.

iPod Touch version to be released as soon as I get a KATS installation for it.

Thanks for being patient guys. Have a fun time installing this baby.

VERY nice man. I have always been a lover of colors, i liked your nitsua theme also, but it was too heavy on memory issues for me. The greyscale was bland, but it was still a nice theme. I can see this one having great potential just like reeco and pears themes. Good luck ith it

    Thanks.

Also wanted to clarify one more thing: MEMORY USAGE WILL BE WATCHED VERY CAREFULLY WITH THIS THEME. I will make sure that this theme hardly uses any RAM. I will be making use of "Bosspaper" as well to help ensure this.

Austin, we cant call you k.nitusa anymore, Holy S**t. This theme is sick. Landscape themes are in. If you guys want portait themes, stick with the ones on cydia. I'll help you find a couple. LOL. Austin, reeco, and pear-phone are the "Gods of Landscapes". Austin, keep up the great work. Like I said before, all three of youshould get together and come up with one sick theme. I feel the world is ready for it

Very nice concept, love the colors.

Ya, landscape themes are in now, at least until someone gets in a 15 car pile-up after trying to reach his thumb a little further to hit the last icon holding his phone landscape or runs into that hot co-worker, spilling a hot cup of joe all over her, while tilting his head to read the landscape mode when holding it upright. Haha the point is, landscape mode isn't ideal for many real-life situations and I see portrait themes coming back around pretty soon, or at least working in tandem with landscape ones.

K.Nitsua, this theme looks great. Let me know when to fire up the paypal so I can get on the beta test team. Any clues to when this might happen?
