On Monday, Apple announced an upcoming update for its popular iTunes U application that would give iPad users a number of useful new features, whether they were the instructor in the course, or they were a student in the course.

The update would give instructors the ability to easily create, edit, and even manage courses right from their iPad, which means more features would be available in mobile form, and make it easier to make changes on the fly. Students, on the other hand, would be given the ability to ask their own questions and start class discussions right from their iPad, mutually giving them more power while mobile too.

The additional features for iPad are not currently available in the existing version of iTunes U in the iOS App Store as of yet, but the update is expected to go live soon. The latest version of iTunes U for iOS (version 1.4.1) can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.
