Just as Apple's new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are arriving on a comprehensive slate of small, regional carriers this month and next, the new iPad Air will similarly be available beyond the confines of the big four U.S. carriers - Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile.

On Friday, two mostly southern-focused U.S. wireless carriers - C Spire Wireless and Bluegrass Cellular - announced plans to offer subscribers the new iPad Air before year's end. No time-frame was given by either carrier but coverage may begin soon after the new tablet formally launches.

C Spire will offer iPad Air with a range of attractive data plans that will allow customers to connect to its fast 4G LTE mobile broadband network with speeds up to 10 times faster than previously available.
As of next Friday, November 1st, the iPad Air will be available in the United States and more than three dozen nations around the world. Although the new iPad mini with Retina display does not go on sale next Friday, the launch is still planned for "sometime in November."
