    Default iPad Cydia Errors
Hey guys hope you can help me with this!

I jailbroke my iPad successfully yesterday but had to restore and re-jailbreak due to ********** apps not syncing to iTunes. When I restored and jailbroke it again Im having serious issues with Cydia. When I go to install Backgrounder and SBSettings I sometimes get an error stating that the Package Source is unavailable and to try refreshing the changes tab. When I try refreshing I get the following errors:

Failed to fetch http://apt.modmyi.com/dists/stable/Release.gpg Host Unreachable

Failed to fetch http://apt.modmyi.com/dists/stable/m...slation-en.bz2 Cached Failure

Failed to fetch http://apt.thebigboss.org/repofiles/...m/Packages.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch

Failed to fetch http://apt.modmyi.com/dists/stable/m...rm/Packages.gz Cached Failure

Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

After some time I will manage to install these packages and the backgrounder icon even appears on the springboard however neither of them function!

I really do not know what to do with this I appreciate any help you can offer!

I had the samp problem a day or two ago had to restore from DFU mode then rejailbroke it

Hey man thanks for the reply! I was considering that alright. Guess I'll give it a shot! Much appreciated.

Just restored from DFU mode and re-jailbroke the device and still receiving the same problem. Just installed backgrounder and SBSettings without a hitch but neither of them function. Now when I refresh in changes I only get this error:

"Failed to fetch http://apt.modmyi.com/dists/stable/m...rm/Packages.gz Cached Failure"

    Any ideas?

What sources did you install and try uninstalling mmi source and reboot and what did you use to jb your iPad.

Well after restoring in DFU mode just now all I did was jailbreak. I didnt install any additional sources. I have tried removing the mmi source except I have just noticed that it does not show under installed sources? Could this be a problem with the initial default sources installed upon jailbreaking being corrupt? I cannot add the mmi source manually.

I used Spirit to jailbreak by the way.

To update this issue I have tried restoring and re jail breaking the device several times and the same issue arises each time. Upon jaibreaking the modmyi source is not installed. I have managed to force this throughout ssh and now the modmyi source is installed however once I attempt to install any packages from this source I receive the error that the host is unreachable.

SBSettings and Backgrounder will install however they do not work. I didn't have these issues prior to restoring so why would they persist even after restoring? Is there anything I can do to resolve or even understand this?

    Any help is appreciated.

I got exactly the same problem. For me it helped to add the following source manual in cydia:

    http://www.modmyi.com/repo/dists/sta...-iphoneos-arm/

After an update backgrounder was working correctly (you have to install it again). If still errors occur on the update process, try do delete your cycdia cache (Remove all files in private/var/lib/apt/list except for the folder named "partial").

    Default Maybe it's this site...
I had the same Cydia problem yesterday and I noticed that the ModMyI site was (or seemed to be down) 'cause I couldn't access it from my desktop until late yesterday. At that time Cydia started working.

    Concidence?

Hey docfreed i don't think it was a coincidence! I too noticed this site was quite slow yesterday and when I woke up this morning and launched cydia everything loaded without a hitch. I reinstalled sbsettings and backgrounder and they are now working without any issues! Nice to have everything back to normal again! Thanks everyone for the input!
