    Still have to change a few icons to get closer to what he had

    I just downloaded a few of the leopard themes from cydia
    and copied the things I liked from one to another until I got something i liked

    thanks, erillanos. I guess all i really need are the systems, media and tools icons and the dock. how can i get those things?

  4. #123
    I got the icons from different leopard themes
    I will list them.

    SnowLeopardMobile
    Snow Leopard 3.0
    Complete Leopard Theme.

    Then I just copied the things
    I wanted into Snow Leopard 3.
    And deleted the things I did not want
    from that theme. No particular reason of why I put
    it in that theme I just do not
    know how to make one from scratch.

    Just make sure you rename all the things correctly

    The folders I changed the icons by using
    iFile and going to the categories folder
    that gets created when you make a new one.
    Located in applications
    Folder is called Categorry000 001 and so on
    change that icon for that catergory

    I did all of it on my iPad using iFile

    Only thing I was not able to find
    was the spacing theme that the other two have cydia said
    403 error not found.
    Besides that I got a close copy

    UPDATE UPDATE

    you can get the 7x5 plugin
    here
    http://apt.thebigboss.org/onepackage...iconoclasm&db=
    Then place it anywhere on you iPad
    then install it using iFile big clicking on the file
    and click install then respring

    @erillanos if u want sharp icons unfortunately you'll have to ssh into the appname.app folder and directly replace the official icon

    If I just replace the icon it will not be sharp.
    I have to ssh into it and replace it to be sharp
    from what I understand from what you said.

    Yes, then you have to delete appiconmask.png, appiconshadow.png, appiconoverlay.png (and the ones with -72 as well) from system/library/privateframeworks/mobileicons.frameworks folder so that your replacements display properly. After that delete all files from the var/mobile/library/caches/com.apple.IconsCache, respring and u should be good.

    Best way to get icons is directly from osx by right clicking on an app, select display package contents, then get the .icns file from the resource folder- also there are a bunch of great ones in system/library/coreservices/coretypes.bundle (follow same right click procedure as with an application file)

    Anyway convert the .icns to an 80x80 .png using preview or candybar, name it properly, then ssh it into the desired app folder on your iPad.

    Thanks you shaotse for your help. Looks like I'm getting closer but I'm still experiencing issues.

    Take a look:

    The icons on the dock are not being spaced correctly and are not centered on the screen.

    Here is what my Infinidock plist file looks like:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>IFIconsPerPage</key>
    <integer>11</integer>
    <key>IFPagingEnabled</key>
    <true/>
    <key>IFRestoreEnabled</key>
    <false/>
    <key>IFScrollEnabled</key>
    <true/>
    <key>IFSnapEnabled</key>
    <false/>
    </dict>
    </plist>

    Can you please post your plist file so that I may compare?

    I also am having trouble moving over the AT&T 3G and Wireless icons on the top status bar.

    Thanks again to everyone for all your help as I stride to get my iPad worked out.

  16. #131
    try eight icons with scrolling on thats what I have - as for the plist I'll post it when I get home and can easily pull it from the iPad

  17. #132
    Thanks shaotse!! I finally got Infinidock to look right!

    The eight icon setting did the trick.

    Do you mind posting your info.plist file for the status dock? I'm still unable to replicate your settings for the Finder status bar with 3G and Wifi.

    It also seems that my icons look somewhat fuzzy even tho I scaled them to 72x72 132ppi.

    Thanks again for all your help.

    Here is what the theme looks like now:

    Here is what my info.plist file looks like for the statusbar:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>DockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <str ing>color: transparent</string>
    <key>TimeStyle</key>
    <string>color: black</string>
    <key>UndockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <string>color: white</string>
    </dict>
    </plist>

    Any help to get my statusbar to look like yours will be much appreciated.

    As you can see the icons are a little fuzzy too.... I thinks its because all the icons where placed in a icons folder for Winterboard to change.

    Yeah u just need to manually theme the icons - follow my icon post up-theread and u should be cool. as far as the status bar it looks like the theme is doing something funky to achieve the solid look and not actually using the correct graphic for the "finder, etc." text. its better to create your own or just rip the files from certain themes and place them as the correct Default/FSO IPAD_CARRIER, airport, bluetooth, and 3g files in the com.apple.springboard folder of a main theme. pull the Default/FSO_BG file out of that statusbar theme and just throw it into your main theme as there may be a conflict there as well.

    try just rearranging your theme hierarchy in winterboard before doing all that though.

    I'm not quite sure why people buy an Ipad, only to ugly it up.

    If you wanted a Macbook you should have bought one. Not made an Ipad way less usable so you can pretend to yourself that it has OSX.

    Weird. Just weird.

    Tried this many times, and I cannot remove the icon "square" shadow behind the custom icon. However, when I drag the custom icon out of the dock onto the regular board it /doesn't/ show the shadow. What is causing this?

    (I replaced the "Icon.png" from /Applications/MobileSafari.app)

  26. #140
    I have the remove icon shadow theme that comes with iblank- it replaces the WallpaperIconShadowT.png and WallpaperIconDockShadowT.png files with transparencies

    Has anyone else had the infinidock update ruin their preferred dock behavior?
