Thread: Power/lock button seems sunk after housing change

    Default Power/lock button seems sunk after housing change
    I changed the housing on a friends iPhone 3G and the power button seems to be lower than usual it still responds but dosent feel as it should if that makes sence just looking to see if any1 has had this problem before and how to fix thanx in advance

    Non-Apple replacements are frequently not manufactured to the same precise tolerances. Slight variances can cause this. Assuming was was assembled correctly, match the old & new looking for any variance.

    I've seen it a few times I would reinstall the button if you don't have it just right it will feel almost hard to press although it will still respond

    i have the same problem and still don't know how to fix it
