Default Restore iphone 5s without getting rid of jailbreak (7.1.2)
I read about semi-restore, but the 7.1.2 version isn't out for mac yet and my phone is on ebay. Is there anything else I can use to get rid of the data on the phone, but preserve the jailbreak? I've deleted the apps, and removed my icloud account, but I'm not sure if there's info hidden on the phone. Thanks for your help.

Why just not restore to 7.1.2 as usual and than jailbreak again. Apple is still signing it.
Otherwise, if you don't want to do that, you can try with iLex Rat - Restore jailbroken iPhone or iPad back to original state

Thanks for the reply. I've been trying to restore to 7.1.2, but ti is saying that the file is not compatible when I try. The file, and all the files, that are for CDMA 7.1.2 5s iphones are titled iphone2_2..., so I'm not sure if that's even correct. I tried downloading from a few locations and none of them work.

I just used iLex Rat and it was simple to do, using their online video tutorial, and it seems to have restored to original setting while preserving the jailbreak. Thanks for your help!

I can't even download the software from home. There's a problem with my router or time capsule and downloading the ipsw's and even the new ios8 from Apple - it was saying that it would take 179 hours to updatre my other phone to ios8. Apple couldn't figure it out either, but I have accomplished what I had to. Thanks guys

You said in your post the .ipsw starts with iphone2_2..., that's the wrong firmware.

    Try resetting your router.

Perhaps go to a friends house and try another computer.
