Could someone please help me find a guide on how to upgrade to 7.1.2 from a 4s on 6.1? I did a restore using semi-restore...

Simple, download IPSW 7.1.2 for you phone to your desktop, for example from here Jailbreak download and iOS software download.... than put your iPhone to DFU mode (how.....google please....very easy to find )....when in DFU, connect it to PC and open iTunes.....it should recognize it in recovery mode, with the message that it needs to be restored....press SHIFT on a keyboard and RESTORE in iTunes at the same time.......window will pop up......point to the IPSW you have just downloaded....and that's it....restore should start...

Oh yes thank you so much! I love you long time!!

Is it possible that Apple stopped signing this right now? It's taking forever to download from every site I've looked for... or is that normal?

Apple is still signing that firmware, depending on you internet speed, it could take up to 3 hours to download.

I tried that site and the same thing happened... Can you dl it from that site? Maybe it is me?

*edit* After I restarted my router I was able to get some momentum on the file... I'm thinking I'm good now. Before I could only download about 8 MB and then it'd error. I've already gotten over 100 MB in the first minute now Thanks again for your help!!

I have verizon and tried to download the cdma, 5s ipsw, but it says that the file is incompatible with my phone. i tried restarting the computer too. I also downloaded the 8.0 ipsw and tried that with a different phone and got the same error message. Any ideas? My phone is already jailbroken, but I want to restore and wipe the memory.

Try putting your iPhone in DFU mode, then hold shift, click restore and point to the 7.1.2 .ipsw.
Make sure your iTunes is updated also.
