    Default iPhone 2G from 3.1.3 to 1.1.4
Hi guys. Maybe silly question, but can iPhone 2G go from 3.1.3 to 1.1.4 just by Shift+Restore, or are SHSH needed on that hold a hardware?

Should work as Apple is still signing 1.1.4 for a 2g.

    Thank you so much Blkcadi)))

So can you correct me if I am wrong? Its a 3 step process:

    1. Use iTunes 10 to Shift+Restore from 3.1.3 to 3
    2. Use iTunes 8 to Shift+Restore from 3 to 2.2
    3. Use iTunes 7.5 to Shift+Restore from 2.2 to 1.1.4

    Thanks so much!

You should be able to just download the 1.1.4 .ipsw and shift/click restore to that.

Wow, been a long time since 1.1.4 days. 2008
Why would you want too is my question? lol
    Nostalgia?

AH yes, the pre Cydia days and old installer. And not like the one click jailbreaks we have today. Good times, it kinda changed my world.

hi blkcadi…i tried just doing a simple shift/click restore on current iTunes pointing to 1.1.4, and it gave me an error 20…should I try the other way I mentioned?

Try doing the downgrade from DFU mode instead of the normal Recovery mode.

yeah, I'm getting same error(( Hmm, its a weird error, these are the words exactly: "This iPhone cannot be restored. An unknown error occurred"" (Error 20) or (Error 1600)
