The latest full jailbreak iOS is 4.3.3 --- one very minor version later. I would stay put.

Don't forget Tiny Umbrella periodically. You may need those SHSH blobs in the future

Phones become slow and sluggish due to installed Cydia apps and tweaks. I would uninstall the latest additions and test.

When you say latest additions do you mean my installed apps and tweaks?

Yes. Start with the last one installed and remove it. Then continue this process until you're satisfied with the performance. If this doesn't fix the problem, a restore will be required.

Ok will give that a try. But tbh i was considering just doing a restore or upgrading to 4.3.3 but how do i go about this with preserving my unlock?

If you have 4.3.3 SHSH blobs shown in Tiny Umbrella, start TU's TSS Server.
Build a custom firmware with Pwnage or Snowbreeze simple mode.
iTunes shift/select restore custom firmware w/iTunes.
    No errors are expected.

I have 4.3.3 SHSH blobs in Tiny Umbrella. So once i run the TU's TSS Server what exactly does this do? Will these reset the phone? Im a bit unsure? I have done this once before but i cant remember? Could you explain in a bit more detail?

With previously saved SHSH blobs, Tiny Umbrella authorizes the restore to an old iOS. Apple doesn't allow it ... So TU steps in and provides the authorization.

Ok so once i have created my custom firware via snowbreeze. Then run the TSS server whilst i have itunes open then shift /restore and select my custom created firmware via snowbreeze and install. Is this correct?

Will i need to re-jailbreak or unlock?

And can i back up my cydia apps?

Start TU + TSS server first. Then build the cfw in simple mode. A custom firmware is complete including jailbreak. Cydia apps are best reinstalled again. Some have had good experience using PkgBackup ... But best to start from scratch.

If the current baseband is unlockable, a custom firmware restore retains the unlock.
Ultrasnow (via Cydia) will do the rest.

Sounds like you're having difficulty getting into DFU mode.

    Start TU + TSS server.
Download & run redsn0w, select the 'standard iOS 4.3.3.3', select 'just enter pwnd-DFU'.
...follow the count-down timer very carefully.... Verify success in redsn0w.
Using the same custom firmware created by sn0wbreeze from before...
Then shift/click restore the 'custom firmware w/iTunes.
