Default Can't Install Apps from AppStore
Hi all, I've been having this problem for the longest time.
Whenever I try to buy new apps from AppStore directly from my iPhone 4, it just won't load and install. AppStore will automatically close down.

I could update my existing apps from AppStore, but not buy new ones.

I have to rely solely on my iTunes to purchase any new apps now.

What can I do? Please help.

    Thanks.

Your firmware gets corrupted, restore will definitely fix it.

    Hi iYeow, thanks for replying.

I have one more question though - if I have upgraded from a previous iOS version to a newer one, would that be considered a "firmware restore"? If so, then I have already done that. And the problem is still there.

    Please advice.

    Thanks.

Technically yes even an upgrade to a newer fw version is considered restoring. However, I am pretty sure your problem persists bc you restored from a backup. The issue gets carried over in the backup, so your resolution is likely to restore, and set it up as a new device. So back up anything you have of value manually into your computer and do another restore.

Edit: but before you do that again, try signing out of the app store. Sign out of your iTunes. Deauthorize your iTunes account on your computer. Then sign back in, reauthorize, sign into your app store, sync with iTunes, and attempt to download an app. If this does not resolve the issue, perhaps you do need a restore.
