I was in the process of typing that^^^ I have a feeling that is the reason as well.

@robinenrique Are you using iTunes 10.5?

Yes, I'm using iTunes 10.5 right now. Will install iTunes 10.2 to see what happens..

I think the fact that you have iTunes 10.5 is the issue.

    No.

Remember I have tried with 10.3, and 10.4. I also tried in another computer in 10.3 on which 10.5 hasn't ever been installed

The most frustrating part is that every time I try to restore it, it gets into a recovery mode loop and I have to restore it to 5 again...

Congrats, you have reached 100 posts

Just wondering about downgrading itunes, I find it very difficult to downgrade itunes. You have to uninstall alot of stuffs including Bonjour before you can install a fresh copy of itunes.

    Thanks!

Yes, Bonjour, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update, Quicktime and of course iTunes.

I don't remember right now (I'm in recovery mode loop, can't find them right now, I'm waiting for Beta 1 to download and try to restore it with it) but the basebands are the ones from Beta 6, which are something like 04.11.08 I think so...

    I tried with 10.2.

    Same sh*t, different version... haha

Have you tried this : Use latest TU , download your 4.3.5 blob onto TU, run Tss Server and also tick update iphone 4 bb update , put iphone into nornal dfu and restore to 4.3.5 again.

It may not work as Tiny Umbrella did mention, both bb , the one on your iphone and the firmware you are restoring too must match both baseband.

I don't have 4.3.5 blob, could that be the problem? I read everywhere you don't need blob for restoring to 4.3.5...

You dont need them since Apple is still signing 4.3.5. Just make sure your hosts are pointed to Apple.

    My hosts are:

    # 127.0.0.1 localhost
    # ::1 localhost
    # 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
    # 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
    # 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com

When I don't have those in my hosts file I get this error:

The iPhone cannot be restored at this time because of the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable.

I deleted the hosts and directed them to apple and tried to restore again, it worked but keep getting error 1604

I'm getting really frustrated!!! NOTHING seems to work!!!

If they can't restore, they will gladly replace it
