Error 1600 == The phone is not getting 'pwnd-DFU' correctly....
Make sure the phone is totally off before starting iREB.
If necessary, hold power + home button for 8-10 seconds to force it off. The computer will sound high-low as confirmation. Then try iREB.

When i tried it a 2nd time i got error 1015. I'm just wondering would it be any easier to restore and update to 4.3.5 and then unlock it again.

Error 1015 means you're done Use TU and click 'exit recovery'

  4. #24
No I'm afraid theres nothing happening yet. at the moment the phone is off and i cannot turn it on regardless of how long I hold the power button. Also in TU the phone is not connected and enter & exit recovery are greyed out fix recovery save SSSH & start TSS server are available but the phone is dead.

It's tme to disconnect the iPhone and reboot the computer. What OS? XP or Win7?
After the reboot, plug in the iPhone and try exit recovery w/TU again.

BTW: It iTunes opens don't close it. If it opens, leave it open. Just ignore iTunes until needed.

    Error 3194: TU not running
    Error 16xx: Not in pwnd-DFU

Note: 4.3.5 is not fully jailbroken. Its not a good option.

have rebooted connected phone itunes opened I opened TU but it still dont detect phone enter & exit recovery are still not available.
At this stage i wouldn't be worried about the phone not being jailbroken as long as i could use it.

If iTunes detected the phone, TU should see it too.
Is the iPhone screen black now?

Don't give up, it's almost finished. Plus ... can't turn back now.

Do you have anti-virus software installed?
If iTunes see's the phone, so should TU.
Try downloading TU again to the same directory.

TU does detect the phone because when i plug in the cable fix recovery becomes available & when i unplug it greys out but enter & exit recovery remain greyed out. i redownloaded TU also but it makes no difference.

I'm not sure what's going on. But starting over will fix it.

    Reboot your computer.
Manually turn off the phone.... power+home 8-10 sec until computer high-low sound.
Don't continue until you're 100% sure the power is off.

Run Tiny Umbrella, Advanced tab, uncheck 'set Hosts to Cydia' on exit.
    Exit TU

Then run iRREB ... and enter pwnd-DFU mode.
If iTunes starts, leave it open.
    .... forget TU this time.
From iTunes (open if not already) and shift/click restore to 4.1
When iTunes report error 1015, run TU, and press exit recovery.
