Default iPhone 4 - 4.3.5 - Attempting to downgrade back to 4.3.3 - SHSH Confusion
    Hey everybody,

I have been running a tethered ios5 software and jailbreak, but my ibooks continued to crash. I needed my ibooks desperately, so I decided to downgrade. Already having the 4.3.3 ispw, and after changing my host files to saurik, I started the downgrade.

I couldn't do it though, I continued to get the error code (1) after every attempt. I also do not know if I have any SHSH saved. I know on cydia I THINK it says i do at the top, but no where on my computer to I have any of these files.

Any help on downgraded to 4.3.3? My 4.3.5 is working fine, but I need it jailbroken, and a tethered jailbreak is uncompatiable with ibooks at the moment... so... i need an untether to read my books.

    Please help?

Run latest version tiny Umbrella , plug bootable iphone in and request shsh from Cydia in Adv Tab.
If you have it under General, then
    Select Iphone 4 bb update,
    Run Tss Server
    Put iphone into dfu mode
Run itunes and restore to 4.3.3
    Go with Jailbreakme 3.0

for some reason tinyumbrella won't read my iphone. I have tried different usb ports, reinstalled itunes, made sure mobile device was running, the whole nine yards.

Both my computer and itunes can read my phone, but umbrella won't.

    Any help here?

Turn off firewall, run as administrator, and/or try a different computer.

You tried a different computer this quickly?

No I previously tried it last night. I am pretty knownledgeable in many of these type of issues, I just have never needed to downgrade.

But yes... yes i did try another computer.

BTW I tried it on my other laptop if that helps at all :/

Tiny Umbrella problems are computer, software, or cable (aka hardware) issues. If iTunes sees the iPhone, then the iPhone is ok.

Hm... Is there any way to get it working on my computer?

Literally millions of computer problems could be causing the problem. MMi is mostly iPhone.
Maybe you have a virus. That's a very very common problem with TU.

Most (if not all) were fixed by changing software, using a different computer, cable, USB port, etc or cleaning a rouge virus from their computer.

5.00.09 is relatively new. If you think TU is faulty, try an earlier version. TU is updated frequently. There are many places to download older versions. (Google Tiny Umbrella)
