Default Tiny Umbrella wont open up
Tiny Umbrella wont open up. Tried to open up the latest version. A little black box pops up that has some words like 'spine' in it appear fast then it disappears. Doesnt open up. I have the latest Java installed. My desktop computer Windows XP.

Disable any firewalls or antivirus programs, instant message programs, etc. Make sure your tinyumbrella is updated to the latest version. If it is, remove all traces of it and reinstall. Then attempt to open it again. If it fails it could be XP is outdated, but I'm pretty sure it should still work on XP. Perhaps try on another machine if possible.

Make sure are logged-in with administrator privileges, or right-click and select run-as-administrator.

Also, verify this file exists: CWindows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts (without any extension).
A missing hosts file or a hosts file with an extension is indicative of a virus.
