Default Help with new iPod Touch
Just got a new iPod Touch 4g. When I power on, it has the plug into iTunes message. When I do that, it says it cannot read the contents and to restore but if I click on restore it tries to update to 4.3.4, it's running 4.2.1 and I want to keep it that way to jailbreak it.

    What can I do?

go to iH8sn0w.com | Jailbreak your iPod touches and iPhones download ifaith. Dump the 4.2.1 shsh. Build the firmware and go to iTunes. Click shift then restore and then restore to the custom firmware

Thanks for the quick response. I used iFaith and created a new signed firmware but after restoring in iTunes, it still says it's in recovery mode.

Try using greenpois0n to kick out of recovery mode

greenpois0n didnt work. I've also tried restoring using downloaded 4.2.1 and running tss server in tinyumbrella, still in recovery mode with black screen.

Do you have 4.3.3 blob ? Use latest TU and click save shsh to find out. If you do , restore using tss server (TU) and restore to stock 4.3.3 firmware.
