Default iphone 4 32gb Unlock Help
    Hello Everyone

I have a iphone 4 32gb BB 1.59. I upgraded using Pwnage so I could preserve the 1.59 for unlocking but I am on ATT. (reason = resale). Once I am back up and running I have no bars. I was reading and I read someware to install Ultrasnow. I did and now I have bars but I cannot send text or mms. I have done the following.

    Restart
    Hard Restart both buttons
    reset network settings

    Any Ideas

    Thanks

Suggestion. Remove ultrasn0w and test. For you, it's not really needed

    A cosmetic fix

Here is a thread similar to yours. You might have to call the carrier and find out whats going on if Mes' suggestion doesn't work.

The only way it will show bars if you install ultrasnow. If you don't you will have no signal bars. This even happens on other basebands 2.something

The no-bar or 1-bar issue occurs with iOS greater than 4.2.1

+1. Its a cosmetic problem so to speak. Anything after 4.2.1 that is not on the correct modem firmware/baseband will show no bars/one bar. I had this once on one of my previous iphone 4s and it worked just fine.

Cosmetic? Or does in enable the bars to show if you have signal or not. ?

The phone works ... fixes the no or incorrect status bar display.

As Mes stated. The phone works regardless of the one bar issue. This issue is cosmetic and has been fixed with ultrasn0w. You will have to install ultrasn0w if you want to see full bars. If not installed then you will see one bar. You still should have signal even if its showing otherwise.

    Agreed to all of em..
But as per musclenerd and i0nic and few other ppl related to jailbreak and stuff tweeted that 1.59.00 is best compatible with version 4.2.1 .. I also prefer 4.2.1 :-)

Well that of course if where you won't have any problems, on the 4.2.1. When apple brought out the 4.3 fws is when all hell started breaking loose if you weren't on the correct baseband
