Default So my iPhone is now an iPod touch :-/
I was doing some stuff last night, and I overwrote a file in SSH before I remembered to backup the original, and after respringing, now my iPhone is just an iPod touch. There's no phone capabilities/apps on it anymore. Has this happened to anyone else? If I just do a factory restore in iTunes will it give me back my phone? Or will we need to do some more digging/ssh nonsense? I'm at the office now, but any advice or expectations would be nice.

Just do a restore if you are fine with that and set the iPhone up as new. You then should be fine and the phone should have all of the files it originally had.

A restore will fix the problem, definitely. No additional mugging around necessary . If you remember the overwritten file, have the original, and still have ssh access, you might be able to restore it and return the phone to normal operation without a restore.
