Default Help! iPhone does not boot (firmware corrupted?)
    Hello everybody
I have a critical problem with my iPhone 4.
It doesn't boot anymore since it suddenly rebooted while i was copying a carrierlogo into my carrier folder.
When I turn it on, the apple logo appears and after some minutes there appears a loading-wheel and after another 2 minutes it restarts and the... same procedure again.
So I have already tried out about 3 different methods but none works.
I do not think that it is something like a bootloop because i assume that the firmware got somehow corrupted and is not able to start up the system.
I have some important data and many familyphotos on my phone and no backup ...
Is there any way to access my data without the iPhone being booted, like from recovery mode or dfu mode, which i still can access.
I have found a promising way with iRecovery but i can not get it to work.
I have (or better had ) an iPhone 4 with 4.1 running on it.
Maybe there is a way to just access the raw data through usb or uploading a custom/temporary kernel/ramdisk/firmware without touching my datapartition so that i can get access to the files.

    thank you all in advance!

Firmware corruption sounds like a pretty likely culprit to me.

Try this emergency ramdisk to get SSH access into your device:
