Default JailBreak iPhone 4 BB 03.10.01?
    hello there

I was trying to jailbreak my friend's iPhone 4 AT&T iOS 4.2.1 on baseband 03.10.01 but it failed through greenp0ison.

Followed instructions on putting it into DFU mode, but it failed.

I didnt use redsn0w yet, because its tethered jailbreak.

I thought Baseband issues was only for unlock, but jailbreak?

    thanks!

Run Redsn0w RC8 to jailbreak it first.

Are you saying run redsn0w RC8 to jailbreak first, then run greenp0ison to jailbreak again?

or run redsn0w RC8 period, to jailbreak?

I just dont want it to be tethered since redsn0w is only a tethered jailbreak

Run redsn0w first to jailbreak, not sure it this version is tethered or untethered. If it is tethered, then you can run GP RC4 or 5 to go untethered.

You can also restore to 4.3.3 and jailbreak it with Redsn0w RC15 or RC16 to get untethered as well.

I've had this same problem intermittently and its completely random. To get it to work do as yeow said install cydia threw redsnow then jailbreak again with greenpoison to untether. I dont think there is an untethered redsnow for 4.2.1 but I could be wrong.

Why not update to 4.3.3 and jailbreak with the newest redsn0w?

+1. that's an easy way to go

But if you're set on doing it on 4.2.1, gp requires a few tries. When youre doing the DFU mode part, just dont let go of the home button and keep holding it down until the codes are done running.
