    Exclamation Ok to update Greenpois0n jailbreak to 4.2?
    Ive been wondering if it is safe to update my currently jailbroken ipod touch 3rd gen. on ios 4.1 to 4.2 without losing my jailbreak?

    Everytime you do an update or restore, you will lose your jailbreak.

    But you can always downgrade with shsh blogs.

    Just remember, 4.2 (4.2.1) are still unofficial and released to developers only. The average consumer can get them, but you really should wait until it's official and for everybody.

    If you want to downgrade to 4.1, Shift key + restore to 4.1, apple is still signing 4.1 so you can downgrade anytime but not the baseband, only firmware.
