    Default Help! Advice needed,
Hi, there. I am having some problems with my ipod touch 3rd generation 32GB model.

I jailbroke it about 2 months ago (it was not my first jailbreak so i have experience of doing them) using JailbreakMe directly off my ipod.

It has been fine with no problems, until now. My ipod now no longer recognises the USB charger when i plug it in, I just get a message saying "USB device not recognised". I have gone through all the troubleshooting from Apple's website and none of it has worked. I have tried other cables and had no success.

I plan on taking it to Apple to get a replacement, however, I can't do this until my iPod is restored to factory settings as they will not replace a jailbroken iPod. I don't see to be able to restore it, I cannot even get my ipod up on iTunes as the USB isnt recognised on my computer.

What should I do? If it makes and difference I am running on 4.0

    Thanks in advance.

This should work. It will force the iPod to go into recovery mode, requiring iTunes.

Edit: Try a hard reset. A loading bar should show up though..

since the iPod isn't being recognized by your computer all you can do now is take it back to apple as you were planning, if for some reason your computer will recognize it now just restore
