    Default Want To Upgrade To 4.0.1
    Hey guys I have got a 3gs with 3.1.2 (new bootrom). I want to upgrade to 4.0.1/4.0.2 ( I need An unlock so no 4.1) .

    When I open my cydia I dont see my shsh saved (since limera1n is launched).Is it happening with you guys too ? I had my SHSH saved since 3.1.3

    Also I will be happy if someone temme the correct way to update to 4.0.1

    Yes, saurik shuts down that little bar that constantly shows your saved SHSH versions to avoid crashing the system.

    Check on tinyumbrella to see if you have them (just to be safe). Do a shift+restore and select the 4.0.1 file.

    Make sure you have atleast Itunes 9.2
    Run Notepad as Admin , open up hosts file and add this line :
    C windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
    74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
    save it and reboots your pc
    Now do the Shift + Restore 4.0.1 ipsw

    ok n after restoring will it throw some error at me ? like 1011, 1013 or 1015 error (I read it in tutorials) ? and once it enter recovery mode screen should I just run limera1n or do I have to hit kick out of recovery on tinyumbrella ?

    I hope I am not missing anything. I am doin this for the first time and very nervous. yaya I am a noob at this

    Kick out of recovery when you error 1015 is encountered
