Do you mean MC model? If it is you can put it in dfu and restore to 3.1.3 and use jailbreakme.com. Or you can check if you have SHSH for 4.0/4.0.1 with tiny umbrella and if you do you can downgrade to that. Or you can stay at 4.1 and wait for the new jailbreak to come out. If you had a MB model ipod touch 2G you could have used redsn0w to jailbreak 4.1 but I do not believe it works on a MC model.

I have never heard of a PC model ipod touch, the model number usually begins with MB or MC. Are you sure it is a 2nd gen ipod touch? Does it have a speaker?

yea its a 2g ipod touch (kinda) it's the 8gb model of the ipod touch that came out with the 3g ipod touches which is technically a 2g model isn't it?

Yes thats right, its just weird that it has a PC in the model number. I found this and it has no mention of a PC model ipod touch:What are the Apple model numbers for every iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod touch, and iPod shuffle? @ EveryiPod.com
not sure if that list is 100% complete though.

In any case it sounds like a new bootrom ipod touch so the info I gave you on jailbreaking should be correct.

edit: Figured it out, PC means it is a personalized one, hence the engraving. So it is a new bootrom ipod touch.

It means you have a MC model. It would have been PB I think if it was a MB model.
