Thread: GPS/restore issue

    Default GPS/restore issue
    Hi there,
I have been having an issue with getting the GPS to work in my American Iphone 3GS unlocked/jailbroken on ios4.0(imported to New Zealand)

I have installed Pushfix 2.0, which fixed my push notifications, however GPS still does not work(won't find satelites) so I have been trying to restore and rejailbreak/unlock.

Although, it seems restoring to ios4.0 is not as easy as I thought....

In Cydia it notes me having SHSH on file for 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2
However, Umbrella refuses to recognize this and comes up saying

'CYDIA DOES NOT HAVE YOUR SHSH FOR iPhone3GS 4.0 (8A293) THERE IS NO WAY FOR YOU TO GET THEM. SORRY. YOU ARE JUST TOO LATE.'

I have got my ECID and tried putting that in advance settings, but still I get the same error message.

    HEEEEELP!

When I change the 'request version' in TinyUmbrella to iPhone 3G 4.0(instead of 3GS) says

09/20/2010 21:05:03.262 Processing SHSH Request... 09/20/2010 21:05:03.272 Asking CYDIA for SHSH blobs for iPhone3G 4.0 (8A293)... 09/20/2010 21:05:06.822 SHSH SUCCESSFULLY saved! [Click Here to Open] 09/20/2010 21:05:06.833 You have saved your SHSH locally and the request was sent to CYDIA. This means that CYDIA DOES have your SHSH. Hmmm, sounds like you have a 3G?

    Sure it's a 3GS? Confirmed in iTunes?

Ok, so i've gone through it all and restored ios4.0 for 3G. jailbroke with redsn0w and unlocked with ultrasn0w....

    Multibrowsing is now working...pretty cool.
Unfortuntely, the GPS still doesn't work. It triangulates but never finds satelites.

    Any solutions/others with this problem?
