    Default Upgradingb 4.0 Without loosing Cydia Files
    If I want to upgrade my 4.0 to 4.2 can someone tell me from scratch.

    I know have to back up Cydia stuff on the app call "Apt Backup?"

    May someone give proper instructions so I wont loose any data, etc...

    unless you are using a 3G if you move to 4.0.2 you will not be able to jailbreak

    There is no point on going to 4.0.2. 4.0, 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 are all essentially the same firmware. 4.0.1 added signal bar "fix" and 4.0.2 added pdf patch which can be installed with cydia on 4.0. So my advice is to just stay on 4.0, at least until 4.1 comes out and a jailbreak is released for that.

    I would recommend downloading RockApp, it's like Cydia but way faster, has reviews, and gives you a 7-day trial before buying most paid apps. It also backs up your saves so you don't need another program (though I have 3 in total because I'm paranoid :P)
