Default Just sold the iphone 3gs on ebay - erasing data?
im curious what would happen if i delete all the data on it - i sold it as jailbroken and unlocked - with 4.01 on it.

I included the golfshot, weatherbug elite, hipstamatic, apps i had bought.

How can i leave cydia and all those on there without them having access to my accounts or data?

If i just delete all data - and remove my account from app store - can i give them the phone with the knowledge all my info is safe and secure from them?

Do i remove the sim card?

    thanks in advance!

Once they sync that phone it is going to wipe your apps off it. They could do a transfer purchases first, but once you got a new phone and tried to transfer your jb app licenses they would disable on your old phone.

Your best bet is if you have the 4.0.1 shsh blobs saved for the phone is to restore the phone, then downgrade it back to 4.0.1 and set it up as a new phone without your apps or backup on it. Then jb and unlock it again.

If it is your active sim card then yes you want to keep it. Also assuming it is an at&t sim card you will need it after you restore the phone to activate it so you can jb and unlock it again. Once you have done that remove the sim before you sell the phone.
