Default how to restore ecid from cydia
    hi,
i bricked my iphone 4 running JB 4.0.1. with cydia

when i JB for the 1st time, i chose the 'make my life easier' option. and was told this is to save the ecid.

so now im having problem to restore my iphone 4 to 4.0.1 as the apple server wouldnt allow me to.

So, im kinda confused how to trick the apple server and restore my iphone 4 to 4.0.1.

any help would be welcome as this is my first time.

    thanks

sorry i posted in wrong sub-forum before

Download this The Firmware Umbrella then use it to check and see if you have the right shsh blobs saved for that firmware.

If so, close the program and open it by right clicking on it and choosing run as admin. At that point you will start the TSS sever in TinyUmbrella.

Then start Itunes connect your phone in recovery mode or DFU mode and hold shift and click restore and select the 4.0.1 ipsw file you have downloaded on your pc.
