Default iPhone 4 kick out of recovery help!
is there a reason my iphone 4 that I restored to 4.0.1 because my phone was messed up (already was running 4.0.1) and I get the 1004 error and then I try to kick my phone out of recovery with tinyumbrella and it keeps going to the connect to itunes screen? How do I kick this POS out of recovery? Am I missing something?

do you have the slide for emergency at the bottom along with the connect to iTunes (if so it's out of recovery and waiting to be activated)

Are your 4.0.1 shsh files backed up and your host file changed?

i am not at the emergency call screen and my host file was changed i added 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com to my host file. When I had my phone up earlier today I double checked cydia and it said i had 4.0 and 4.0.1 backed up on the server. I also have them backed up on my hard drive via tinyumbrella.

I have tried that but i am now trying on a completely new install. Ill let you know how it goes.

created a new partition on my computer used 32bit instead of 64bit...and it worked using tiny umbrella.
