Badisson try the instructions I posted for the dns changes one more time and remove your sim before you start the process and see if that solves it!

What r u trying to achieve?

thanks, ngeoffrey, but no love here. I have removed the sim, changed the DNS in my wifi settings to 8.8.8.8, i have cleared history, cache, and cookies too. still getting the invalid file error...

pressing retry multiple times does not help either. I simply want to Jailbreak and get cydia to run my hacks and patches. Also saw some really cool themese I'd be interested in trying. Additionally, want to get this on TMobile....

Hmm seems like something else is up. Have you tried JailbreakMe or jailbreakme.ca

  5. #45
I'm having the same issue. Either it returns the Oops error or quits safari at "Sit tight".

*sigh*...none of these work. Still getting that miserable error.

Is there another way to jailbreak using some other app/file?? Could there possibly be any truth to that article posted above?

This is a clean *ipsw install of 4.0.1 nothing additional installed....strange. that it works for some and not others

  7. #47
very strange, don't despair, it's a matter of time..
Have you tried to downgrade to ipsw 4.0 and restore then change the dns to 8.8.8.8 then goto jailbreakme.com?

Nope not working, it says ...

"You should replace this page with your own web pages as soon as possible.

Unless you changed its configuration, your new server is configured as follows:
Configuration files can be found in /etc/lighttpd. Please read /etc/lighttpd/conf-available/README file.
The DocumentRoot, which is the directory under which all your HTML files should exist, is set to /var/www.
CGI scripts are looked for in /usr/lib/cgi-bin, which is where Debian packages will place their scripts. You can enable cgi module by using command "lighty-enable-mod cgi".
Log files are placed in /var/log/lighttpd, and will be rotated weekly. The frequency of rotation can be easily changed by editing /etc/logrotate.d/lighttpd.
The default directory index is index.html, meaning that requests for a directory /foo/bar/ will give the contents of the file /var/www/foo/bar/index.html if it exists (assuming that /var/www is your DocumentRoot).
You can enable user directories by using command "lighty-enable-mod userdir"
    About this page
