    Question Quick Question
    Hi there,

Just a quick question for all of you who are experienced with jailbreaks.

I've been jailbreaking for quite a while now, however when going to upgrade to a new firmware, I've always restored to factory settings, upgraded and re-jailbroke if possible. However, this then causes me to loose any preferences in apps, progress in games and me having to load all my contacts etc back on.

Is it safe to just upgrade once jailbroken, skipping the factory restore and the repetitive tasks that come after it?

What your from brid? (on my iPhone so can't see lol), and just click upgrade like you normally would do if you had a non-jailbroken phone, only thing that would maybe be a problem is if your using CFW

CFW? What's that? I always thought if you upgraded a jailbroken phone you'd risk bricking it?

And yep, I'm from brid lol, small place I suppose.... strange... I've only met one other person who's jailbroken their iPhone, and even then, I showed them what to do lol

Wasn't called Dev or Tom was he?, and nope didn't brick mine, and CFW is custom firmware made by redsn0w and simler programs

Nope, none of them lol. and ahhh ok, but the jailbreakme.com is a userland jailbreak so technically it's still a official firmware, correct? I get the feeling Apple will patch this with the 4.1 release, but if not, and I just update like usual, will Cydia and the jailbreak still be kept intact?

Yes it's still official firmware, and nobody knows if the jailbreak will work with 4.1, so stay with 4.0 or 4.0.1 and save your shsh blobs

Will do. I've backed my shsh blobs up using The Firmware Umbrella. Wasn't going to update to 4.1 straight away anyway... I like to let other people test it first... I can't afford a bricked iPhone lol

Exactly. I'll give it a few more days... I've heard skype doesn't want to multitask on jailbroken devices... And I'm always on Skype lol
