Default Upgrading 3.1.3 to 4.0 w/ Restore in iTunes?
Hey guys, I have an iPhone 3GS on 3.1.3 right now and I tried to restore it with a 4.0 restore file I got when it first came out but it won't let me restore it to the 4.0 ipsw file... should I just update with iTunes or would that leave my phone locked?

    Did you try 4.0.1?

Just update with iTunes, all current official firmwares are jailbreakable and unlockable.
If I somehow helped you, press thanks

You can't do what you're trying to do unless you have 4.0 SHSHs. Apple must sign the firmwares for all 3GS/iP4 phone models. Just update to 4.0.1, JB with jailbreakme, and then run ultrasn0w 0.9.3 from Cydia.
