Thread: Custom firmware?

    Default Custom firmware?
I have an iPhone 3gs that is a new bootrom 4.0 (never been on 3.1.3, never been jailbroken)

Do you need to have your 3.1.3 SHSH blobs saved to restore to a custom 3.1.3?

    Thanks.

EDIT: or if that won't work, would restoring to a custom 4.0 work?

A phone MUST already be jailbroken for it to accept a custom fw.

You need to have the SHSH saved to downgrade. However, even if you did...you couldn't load a custom firmware due to having the new bootrom.

Unfortunately, ou'll have to wait until the new jailbreak is realeased.
