Default 3GS i4.0 is it worth jailbreaking?
I have a 3GS running 3.1.2 old boot rom, broken with blackra1n. This phone is my baby, so is it worth going to 4.0? I've been reading about alot of people having problems. I need to know what I might be getting myself into. Any advise???

That's really a personal user decision. 3.1.2 has more functionality jailbroken than 4.0 because not all apps have been updated yet. You should also be specific as to what problems people are having before we can make any other suggestions.

Ok my biggest concern is the fact I have 20+gb of data on my phone. I've never had any issues sticking with 3.1.2. I have the iPhone 4 sitting here but I'm not using it, so I was reading up on the possibility of jailbreaking 4.0 on my 3GS.

20+ GB of "data"? Data from iTunes? if so just resync it. You will have to reinstall everything from Cydia manually anyway b/c everything for 4.0 has been updated to a different version so a Cydia back-up wouldn't do you any good.

Nah, mostly from **********, roughly 200+ apps/games for my sons to play. So I'm thinking that I should leave 4.0 alone for awhile. I'm happy with 3.1.2, Just curious about 4.0.

iOS4 is pointless for JBer's at mo, most of the stuff on cydia doesn't work as expected.

If most of your apps are appstore etc, go ahead, most of em seem to work.
