    Default Quite a problem D:
Hello. I'm in sort of a hole in which I cannot get out. Here is the problem:

    I have an iPhone 3G 8GB.
It ran fine on 3.1.2 (blackra1ned and used on T-Mobile)
I had to do a restore to 3.1.3 from iTunes and I did
I then planned to jailbreak and unlock it again
However, sn0wbreeze (v.1.5.2) created the custom .ipsw and I attempted to restore with it.
I got an error (error 0 to 1660)
So I downgraded and upgraded iTunes many times and still it did not work
The iPhone is stuck in an endless loop of the simple recovery logo (apple with white cord)
I cannot get the phone out of the loop
Even more iTunes will not show the iPhone no matter what mode I am in (DFU, or Simple Restore mode)
So what should I do to get my phone up and running again? D:

Hm... iH8sn0w.com and use iReb to bypass the error during the restore the the custom fw. But since you said iTunes won't pick up the phone, read this:

iRecovery: Get Out iPhone from Recovery Mode Loop on Restart | iPhone

Should kick your phone out of recovery mode. Then you can put the phone back into DFU and see if iTunes will pick it up so you can restore the firmware you wanna be on. BTW, being on a 3G you can simply use a stock 3.1.3 firmware and still be able to unlock. I personally hate custom fw's, they give me problems, but that's just me. You can also upgrade to iOS 4 (tho I heard it lags a bit on a 3G) and unlock still. Up to you really, but you should be able to kick your phone out of recovery mode with that guide up there.

I tried doing the above step. I did the procedure at least 10x and used both (fsboot and reboot). And then rebooted after doing /exit . However on reboot my phone is still in recovery mode and not being recognized by iTunes. I'm beginning to give up :[

Hm. You couldny kick it out with iRecovery?

Try running redsn0w on the phone and see if that does anything. Might be able to restart the phone after DFU and get the phone going. Not sure how well it would work...

Really dunno what to do if iRecovery doesnt work.

Have you tried a hard reset, then attempting to put in DFU mode again to see if the iTunes will read it.

Read thru this. J3st3r3 has some good advice on the recovery loop.

Haha. Okay I figured it out. I just used a different computer and restored from there. But now my iPhone is stuck at the activation screen. How may I jailbreak it now without the risk of it getting stuck?

(Oh yeah thanks to everyone who gave me the advice. I'll probably end up using it later xPP)

Redsn0w to jailbreak and Ultrasn0w to unlock.

Note: Redsn0w you need the 3.1.2 ipsw if you are on 3.1.3, it wont read 3.1.3 so you should download the 3.1.2 ipsw from the Downloads section.
