    Default Custom Firmware advantages?
    Hi

Really sorry if this a noob question tried searching but couldn't really find anything.

Here goes, What's the difference between using Sn0wbreeze to create a custom firmware and using Redsn0w to jailbreak a device?
    Is it the same thing?

Am fairly new to the Jailbreaking scene and am just looking to find out more about the different ways and programs in which you can go about Jailbreaking your device.

Any usefull info would be much appreciated.

Redsn0w jbs 3g iphones, ipod touch,

Snowbreeze jbs 3gs with custom firmware.

they both essentially tdo the same thing.

with sn0wbreeze...you get the keep your baseband intact. that means when there's a new firmware upgrade that contains a new baseband and there's a new sn0wbreeze tool for that firmware, well you can use it to create a custom firmware and still keep your old baseband. keeping baseband intact is good because that means you can keep your iPhone unlock for other carriers. whenever there's a new firmware upgrade there's always a new baseband update and that breaks your unlock pretty much.
