Thread: SHSH files??

  1. #1
    Default SHSH files??
Can SHSH files be extracted from an itunes backup? I had an old bootrom on my 3gs that was jailbroken. I tried to upgrade to 4.0 jailbroken and now I can't get back.

Nope... You never had them stored in Cydia?

I'm sure they were in cydia and I made a back up of my phone before trying the jailbroken upgrade. That went south so now I'm stuck with 4.0 unjailbroken and I'm not having any luck trying to restore my phone back to my back up.

you have to use the shsh's to get back to whatever firmware you were on before you updated to 4.0, use tinyumbrella and have it try to get your shsh's from cydia starting with 3.1.3 and work backwards to 3.1.2, etc...once you have them, if they were infact saved you can downgrade to one of those firmwares, once restored to one of them then you can setup the phone using the backup (although that isn't recommended)

I never did upgrade to 3.1.3, but is there a way for me to downgrade to either 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 so I can go back to jailbreak?
