Default Help! Need to know if the new 8GB iPhone 3GS is jailbreakable
I am wondering if the new 8GB iPhone 3GS that are being sold along with the new iPhone 4s are jailbreakable with any current methods.

I doubt it, i'd say they are new boot with iOS4 pre-installed.

Is there an 8GB 3GS? I'm pretty sure the $99 one is just a 16GB 3GS. I haven't been paying much attention to 3GS these days, so somebody please correct me if I'm wrong . . .

I stand corrected! Never even realized it was an 8GB they were offering.

8GB wasn't even produced until the iPhone 4 rollout and price drop to $99

well maybe not available would be more appropriate than not produced

Why would anyone sign up for a 2-yr contract for that, when you can buy someone's mint condition 16GB 3GS without a contract for $200-250?

Cuz its $100 brand new. You cant get an iPhone 2G for less than $150 so why not get a 3GS for $100?

Plus, people who get that deal probably want a contract/are ok with it. I am gonna do it, Im tired of TMo. Im just getting the 4, not the 3GS. 2 year contract a-ok

I'm not talking about getting a contract with the 4 - that's what I did.

To each his own, it just doesn't look like a very good deal to me.

Sorry for the tangent, dude just wanted to know if it could be jailbroken hehe

Hm yeah well if I didnt care about which iPhone to get with a 2 year contract, i would get the 3GS for a hundred bucks! Too bad I alway want the best of the best :P

But on topic, chances are its a new line of 3GS phones which means no jailbreak cuz of the new bootrom, like Will01 said.

It's aimed towards those people who always go for cheap phones. They will sell a lot of those b/c parents will prob be willing to pay $100 for an iPhone for their kids.

    And then she'll beat him.
