Default How can I access Saurik's/Cydia servers.....
if my hard drive is NTFS? My blobs are stored on his server from 3.0 - 3.1.3. I'm currently with a 3G(s)on FW 3.1.2 jailbroken with blackra1n. My previous hard drive in my computer was formatted to fat32, but now I'm NTFS, can I still access his server?

I would like to upgrade to iOS 4.0 I have all the tools I need, but I'm scared to try it without knowing for sure if I can access his server without getting hung up in a boot loop, or a constant error message.

    Thanks folks.

His server has no relation whatsoever to your harddrive
And your harddrive has no relation whatsoever to the internet

Yes , you can jailbreak and unlock at iOS 4.0.
This is what you need to do

Create a custom iOS 4.0 from Pwnage tools 4.0.1 or SnowBreeze 1.6.1.
Then restore to the cfw created on your Desktop
Once successfully restored, you are jailbroken at iOS 4.0 and then you can unlock with Ultrasn0w.
    You are all set...Cheers.
Oh , by the way, don't bother about the server or anything like that, Custom firmware does not require shsh blogs to be saved.

BUt what if I need to downgrade back to 3.1.2 or something? Will I be able to add the suarik line of code via note/wordpad? I don't actually have a folder in the fat32/etc/hosts if I click on hosts, asks me what program to open with, I pick word or note pad, and it opens, and I can type in the line of code, and save. Open it back and it's there. Will that work if I need to do it?

Not sure if that makes it across clearly or not.

It's windows' file, it's always there
It doesn't matter what your harddrive is made of as long as windows runs on it

    BTW, /etc/hosts is for Mac
    Windows is C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Sorry I meant to type the windows one and I mixed them up. So, if I open the hosts with notepad, then paste in 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com and save it, and be good to access his server again?
