Default Iphone 3G on iOS 4.0 very buggy
Just upgraded/jailbroke/unlocked my IPhone 3G to the iOS 4.0 using the redsnow/ultrasnow method.
I chose not to enable any of the unsupported features like home page wallpaper, multitasking etc.

    The phone frequently freezes up.

Specifically: when you receive a call when in the screen locked state and if the caller hangs up the phone before you disconnect, then the phone freezes for 60 secs.

The screen is visible and the slide to unlock shows but does not respond to the slide action at all. The screen then times out and goes black.

Waiting about 60-80 secs usually allows you access to the phone once again.

Also found the battery usage to be much higher. Its been only 4 hours after I upgraded and the battery was down to 20%!

If this goes on I will have to switch back to 3.1.2

Perhaps something went funny with the JB. Perhaps you should downgrade and rejail?

i did it first time with multitasking enabled. When it was unstable. I redid it without any of the unsupported features.

    Still same issue.

Perhaps you should stay on 3.1.3. on your 3G, iOS4 provides very little for 3G users anyway.
