Default Moving from JB 3.1.2 - 3G to vanilla iPhone4 iOS4... what pitfalls?
If I could jailbreak my new iPhone 4 tomorrow I would. However, this won't be the case being that iPhone 4 is not jailbroken yet. I'm wondering, if at all, what are the pitfalls to be encountered when I restore my new iPhone from an older backup that was generated from a jailbroken 3.1.2 iphone 3g. At this point, I've removed all ********* apps, all cydia apps that can be easily removed and only have iTunes store bought apps on the 3g. I'm trying to get it to be as default as possible so that the transition doesn't go haywire. Any thoughts on how to make this process go smoother?

Make sure you let iTunes create a backup of your old phone first. If you haven't yet updated iTunes you will need to do this for os4. Make the backup on the new version of iTunes. Then when I ugh in my new iPhone 4 I just restored from backup. All my stuff that was not relative to jailbreak only transferred seamlessly.
