Default Stuck on black screen, doesn't boot. Oops!
    Hi all,

I recently did something unwise -
I had firmware 3.1.2 jailbroken with blackra1n and working fine except for the tethered boot (I have the new bootroom - MC).

Then I tried to restore to the original 3.1.2 firmware but couldn't because I didn't have the SHSH files backed up.

So I restored to a custom firmware made with PwnageTool on OSX.

Now the iphone is stuck with a black screen, no apple logo, and I can't use any of the button combos to get it to DFU, and can't restore to anything.

Anyone now how to get out of this?

    Thanks in advance!

Since you have the new bootrom (tethered jailbreak) you can not use custom firmwares, if you have your 3.1.2 shsh's saved on cydia then you can restore to that following these instructions and the then re-jailbreak and unlock http://modmyi.com/forums/3g-s-downgr...ecid-shsh.html

If you don't need to unlock, just restore to 3.1.3 and jailbreak with Spirit.

If you do need to unlock and you can't get your phone booted, you can consider using this method: Preventing baseband update as a last-ditch effort [iPhone Dev Team]
