    Default sn0wbreeze question
OK I have an iPhone 3G on firmware 3.1.2 baseband 05.11.07 unlocked using blacksn0w

I want to update to 3.1.3 but keep my baseband the same so I can unlock using blacksn0w.

Im hearing sn0wbreeze preserves your baseband and only upgrades your firmware. Is this true? Should I use it? My unlock is very important to me so I don't want to risk anything

    Thanks

Don't update. There's no reason to.

Sorry, but that doesn't answer my question. I have to because it might be the only way to repair my wifi issue.

    Thanks

Yes, using Custom Firmware prserves BB, you can go ahead and create one and then restore and then unlock with Blacksn0wRC2 from the cydia repo : cydia.pushfix.info
Let me know if restoring repairs your Wifi isuue.

If you're having wifi issues, I'm assuming you're using blacksn0w RC1 to unlock? If so, uninstall it and use RC2 instead. RC1 is known to cause wifi and boot loop problems. No need to restore.

You can read more about it here: Pushfix 2.0 • View topic - Blacksn0w RC2 Final

Do tell how it works out.
