Default Can you jailbreak 3.1.3, 3GS, new iBoot?
I have a 3GS with the new iBoot. It is currently 3.1.2 and is tethered jailbroken with blackra1n but is glitching and I'd really like to restore and have a fresh jailbreak. Whenever I go to iTunes it makes me upgrade my firmware before I can restore. So can I upgrade and still jailbreak?

    Thanks

P.S. Don't have access to a Mac if that changes anything

Yes spirit will jailbreak 3.1.3. It will not unlock your phone though so if you rely on this DO NOT update to 3.1.3. If you are on an official carrier the go ahead update the jb with spirit

No worries then. Just update to an official 3.1.3 from apple then jailbreak with spirit

and don't restore from backup when you do update. just restore to 3.1.3 and then jailbreak and sync as new. that way you won't be carrying a bunch of old jailbreak crap around.

no problem. I do a full restore ever 2-3 months to clean out old crap. Best way to fix a slow iphone. Sometimes uninstalling apps from cydia leave behind a bunch of junk.
