    Default [iPone 2g] 3.1.2. to 3.1.3 upgrade
    Hey guys.

I read on blog that were dated in Feb 2010, that upgrading from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 will lock up the fone. Well its the end of April now and I'm just wondering if that's still true?

Should I upgrade? I have iTunes 9.0.0.2 on windows so I can always downgrade and so on.

the 2g can be jailbroken on 3.1.3, use redsn0w and download an official 3.1.2 ipsw and run redsn0w, when it asks for the ipsw point it at the 3.1.2 (even though u are jailbreaking 3.1.3) and let it do it's thing

    p.s. use redsn0w 0.9.2

So I'm downloading 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 (official) and using redsnow to point it to which 3.1.2?.

I'm a little confused with this process.

if you are updating to 3.1.3 then you will of course have to download that for the update...you will need an official 3.1.2 for the jailbreak which you should already have if you are already on 3.1.2...you have to point redsn0w at 3.1.2 for the 3.1.3 jailbreak...
