Default Restore from Backup? If backup is from phone with updated baseband...
OK, I screwed up and I updated my iphone 3G recently and can no longer unlock the phone because it is now on the 5.12.01 baseband.
So, I just bought a used 2G phone that is unlocked and jailbroken already.

Now here is the question...How do I get the information from my old phone to my new phone without screwing it up again (Apps, music, movies, photos, contacts, notes, etc)?

Will "Restore from Backup" just move my information or will it change the OS and baseband? I'm obviously not that familiar with this stuff, and do not want to mess up again.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ed

You wont be able to setup as a backup restore from a newer backups onto an older iOS version.
Sync your iphone 4s and most infos will be there like photos ( if you drag the photos out onto desktops ) , contacts are stored in either outlook or any yahoo or google sever, notes and calenders arevalso backups. You can even sync back apps from iTunes purchased from apple. The only info you lose if you setup as new iphone is your settings like password and SMS .
